The BLUE Ocean film festival is happy to announce that we have selected our winners for our YouTube contest, "How do you see the Ocean?" We recieved 32 amazing entries in total and while each had merit and were obviously made with care and passion, one rose as the grand prize winner. 
Teresa Carey from Amherst, Massachusetts is our grand prize winner.
In 2008 she moved aboard a small sailboat. During the following two years she sailed solo and lived aboard a 27 foot boat with her cat Dory for company. Her focus was to live in concert with the ocean by enjoying its beauty and challenge, exploring simplicity, and drastically reducing her environmental impact.
During that time she met Ben who also lived aboard his small sailboat. The couple sailed side-by-side for several years until recently when they decided to change course. The two married last month and are now looking to purchase their "home," which will be a boat they can raise a family on while they sail around the world.

The couple will recieve travel from Amherst to Monterey, CA, three nights stay at the Portola Hotel and Spa, BLUE Whale VIP passes to the Festival and a VIP "goodie bag."
