Entries may be made through Without A Box (WAB link below) or by completing and sending in the submission form below If you are entering a film into multiple categories please use the DOWNLOAD FORM TO MULTIPLE SUBMISSIONS form below. You may use 1 form along with 2 DVD copies of your film, but you must submit a separate payment for EACH category. A 10% discount is offered for multiple category entries. Please subtract 10% from the total amount if entering a single film in multiple categories an the total can be paid by a single check or credit card charge.
Film submissions are invited for our global awards competition.

Filmmakers, Researchers, Broadcasters, Conservation Organizations, Students and Amateurs with a passion for the oceans are invited to submit entries.
Films may be of any length, may originate in any format and be non-fictional, fictional or animated.
There is no "Produced by" Date Restrictions The submitted work need not have been broadcast or publicly exhibited.
All submissions are eligible for the Best of BLUE Award (Best of Festival)

BLUE Ocean Film Festival & Conservation Event is dedicated to leveraging the power of film and multi-media to educate, empower and inspire appreciation & protection of our oceans and the life within.
BLUE operates on the guiding principal that Our Oceans Connect Us All and.. never has it been more urgent to promote, honor & share films that engage people to become beter stewards of our seas.

Its all about the Oceans BLUE is a fun-filled 4-Day event that brings together filmmakers, photographers, marine researchers, conservationists, television broadcasters, policy makers and the public for an entertaining and innovative oceans focused event.
BLUE consists of
1) International Film Competition-Honoring all genres of Ocean related films
2) Filmmaker's Industry Conference-focus on underwater & ocean related filmmaking
3) Community Festival-family activities & conservation outreach programs
4) Ocean Photography Exhibits & Seminars
In addition BLUE Ocean Film Festival offers unique opportunities:
Emerging Filmmaker Program- Our Underwater 101 Track will provide special educational and inspirational workshops to help prepare the next generation of great ocean filmmakers. Both in the classroom and in the pool experiences are available.
Promoting the Filmmaker-Researcher Relationship- Underwater filmmakers and marine scientists share a unique bond dating back to the early films of Jacques Cousteau. It is through these synergistic relationships that we are able to intimately experience the wonders of the oceans and witness amazing journeys to unravel the mysteries within the depths. Marine researchers will be given insights into the filmmaking industry and tips on how to leverage film to promote their work and increase access to important scientific information about our oceans.
Traveling Festival-BLUE on Tour- After the festival ends the legacy continues. The award winning films will go on tour for screenings at the The Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, GA, the 14 US National Marine Sanctuaries and various other locations globally.
