BLUE’s 2012 event in Monterey, CA, September 24-30, encompasses three components: an Ocean Film Festival, Conservation Summit and Industry Conference.  Passes outlined here provide a variety of access options to these components—along with VIP Parties, Awards Presentations and Special Events.

Our highest-level passholder! A wonderful way for industry, local business and community leaders to show support for BLUE! Your generous investment includes two BLUE Benefactor Passes for access to virtually all Film Festival, Industry Conference, and Conservation Summit events—including all Marquee Events (Special Screenings, Parties, Awards Presentations, and Keynotes)!

Each Benefactor Pass includes an exclusive and intimate VIP Legacy Awards Presentation Dinner, which will honor Captain Don Walsh and James Cameron, followed by the VIP Legacy Post-Awards Reception. Both Legacy events are sponsored by Google and hosted by Monterey Bay Aquarium. Benefactors are also invited to attend our first Lunch with the Legends.

This pass includes a tax-deductible charitable contribution of $2,400, which supports BLUE’s regional community initiatives, BLUE on Tour’s international film and conservation outreach, and ongoing BLUE Ocean Film Festival programs.

Early Bird Rates

  • Early Bird Industry Delegates will have first option to register for Master Class and Pitching Sessions.

Purchasing & Pickup Information

  • Advance sale pass and ticket purchases are available:
  • Pickup Passes & Tickets purchased online or by phone:
    • Sept. 10-23: at the festival office in Pacific Grove (see address below)
    • Sept. 24-30: 2012 at the festival office in the Portola Hotel Lobby.
    • Day-of Show Tickets: will only be available at the venue, one hour prior to start of program.
  • We will provide an email receipt for all online and Phone purchases.  If purchasing for a third party please be sure they have the receipt in order to pick up their tickets.
  • Day-of-show ticket purchases will be available in person, at the venue, one hour prior to the program, provided capacity/seating allows.
  • BLUE accepts American Express, Visa and MasterCard.

Ticket & Seating Policy

By purchasing tickets or passes for BLUE, you understand and agree to the following:

Refunds

  • All ticket and pass sales to the BLUE Ocean Film Festival & Conservation Event are non-refundable and non-returnable.
  • The one exception is that Industry Delegates may transfer a BLUE Patron or BLUE Whale Industry Pass to another individual for a $50 administrative fee.
  • In the event of a cancelation for which there is no rescheduled date, a refund may be issued at the option of the management.

Seating Policy

  • Preferred, Reserved, and Early Access Seating Passholders must arrive no less than 20 minutes ahead of the program start time for priority admission and guaranteed seats.
  • General Admission Seating will begin 15 minutes prior to program start time.
  • Where Individual event tickets are offered, seating is on a first come first served basis during General Admission.

General

  • To attend all galas, parties, receptions, and VIP lounges where alcohol is served the ticket holder or passholder must be able to show proof they are over 21 years of age.
  • The resale of tickets or passes for more than its face value without consent of BLUE management if prohibited by law.
  • No photography, video or audio recording is permitted during the film and speaker programs without written permission from BLUE management.
  • The ticket holder or passholder assumes all risks incidental to attending any event.
  • The ticket holder or passholder may not bring alcoholic beverages, drugs or weapons into any BLUE venue and consent to the reasonable search for these items.
  • The ticketholder or passholder further consents to the use of your image or likeness incidental to any display, transmission or reproduction of the event.
  • Management reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone who fails to comply with the Terms and Conditions herein.

Permissions

By attending a BLUE Ocean Film Festival event, the participant(s) and guest(s) hereby irrevocably authorize BLUE Ocean Film Festival, LLC, its affiliated companies and the agents, sponsors and partners, successors and assigns, and anyone authorized by them to use, copyright, reproduce, publish, broadcast, videotape, photograph and record their name, address, photo, likeness, appearance, performance, voice and other resemblance or likeness, and to use the results and proceeds thereof in connection with television commercials, audiovisual works and derivative works, including, without limitation, the rights to edit, copy, exhibit, transmit, perform, copyright, display (on a web site or otherwise) any portion of the materials collected, and they hereby waive any and all such rights and claims that they may have with respect to such use of their likeness.
