H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco to Participate in Keynote Panel at BLUE

BLUE is pleased to announce that H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco will participate in two panels, including a Keynote Panel of global ocean leaders, as part of BLUE's Conservation Summit.

I decided to set up a Foundation whose purpose is to protect the environment and to encourage sustainable development (...). By definition, this is a common global challenge that requires urgent and concrete action in response to three major environmental issues: climate change,biodiversity and water.

Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation inititatives include securing Marine Protected Areas and efforts to save endangered marine species.

Panel Discussion: Sustaining a Healthy Ocean; How are we doing, REALLY?

Participants include: Celine Cousteau, Dr. Sylvia Earle, Dr. Greg Stone.

Numerous ocean conservation initiatives are going on all around the world. Are we making a difference? Leaders in Global Ocean Conservation, Governance, Advocacy and Exploration come together to address this question. These thought-leaders provide us with their insight and personal assessment of the current state of the ocean, the progress we are making and the challenges that lay ahead for securing a healthy ocean and future. Subject to agreement of this overall schedule BOFF will formally extend an invitation for HSH to participate and speak on this panel.

Keynote Address by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco

Followed at 10:00-11:30am: The Story So Far: Action on Ocean Acidification Panel Discussion.

The panel will discuss the summary of findings from the scientists of The Ocean in a High CO2 World Symposium.
